5 Things I’m Grateful For

The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy –  it’s all that matters (Audrew Hepburn)

My dad always used to say that bad things may happen in life, with friends, boyfriends, careers etc, but as long as you are healthy then that all that matters! As I’ve gotten old I can’t agree with this more! I am so grateful for being free from diseases and disabilities, and we should all remember this next time we are upset because you’ve had an argument with a best friend or someone took the last chocolate brownie at Starbucks. It’s also not only about being physically healthy but keeping healthy relationships and friendships around you. It can only ever have a positive effect on your life.

I’ve had to add this particular one in as I leave for New York on Tuesday, I think it’s so important to travel and see the world. It can build you as a person to see the way that other people live. I’ve been so lucky to have travelled to places, and the majority of fascinating places I have been to is because of my dad. He took me and my brother to New York City when I was 13 and that’s when I first fell in love with the magical city. He’s taken us to Australia, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and many other places. I think this is where I get my passion to travel from. It’s great to get away from the normalities of home and explore other  countries. Also those memories stay with you forever.

If you’ve read my other blogs you’ll see that I mention Cal a lot, so its obvious that he is a huge part of my life, and is probably the other reason why I want to travel and especially with him! He’s incredible with the languages he speaks, for me that will never get old, how he has introduced me to new things, for example different foods and ways of doing things. We are going to Romania at the end of May for his brothers wedding and I can’t wait to see how Romanians celebrate! He’s the most clever, sweet-natured boy I’ve ever met and I can’t give enough love to him!

My friends have always been so important in my life, and even when I’ve had boyfriends I’ve ALWAYS made sure to keep a balance between friends and boyfriends! Theres nothing worse than a girl (or boy) ditching long friendships for their partner. Unfortunately sometimes love doesn’t last forever, and you always want to know that you have someone there for you if things go wrong. I’ve been blessed with the friends I have in my life, they are a bunch of lovely girls and I wouldn’t be happy without any one of them in my life! Having a bunch of positive people around you that can make you laugh and pick you up when you are down is a beautiful thing, and that is what I have. It’s so important to have people who genuinely want the best for you and vice versa! You know who you are girls!

(Number Five was a hard one, but I decided to choose my new-found passion)

NUM-5I can only thank a two people for getting me into this. First, ‘InTheFrow’ who also goes by the name Victoria. She’s an absolutely gorgeous girl and if I had to trade lives with one person, it would be her! Everything about her I love, from her clothing to that cute personality!  Second has to be Cal, he really helped me set up Bearypie, and even designed my logo (the clever little boy) he supports me with everything including this and really encourages me to write! Personally I’ve never been a good writer, but I feel like I can only get better with every post I publish, so any grammar warriors out there – ‘bear’ with me please! It keeps me sane by writing everyday but also it gives me more confidence, as I have wanted to do this for a while but the thought of people judging me scared me off. The more I do it, the more confidence I get to write more!

So on that note! KEEP READING (please 😀)

Till next time
