How many toners, tonics and micellar water do you have?

Since moving house I’ve been able to sort out all my skin care products, or maybe I should say..I’ve been forced too.

Although I love to give advice on skin care, I’m no expert and don’t claim to be. I just love everything about products and taking care of our little faces! I also think that there is absolutely no problem with having so many!

You never know what you like till you try it! So fill your cupboard up, theres nothing more sad than an empty skin care cupboard!

Toner’s, tonic’s and micellar water’s are generally used for removing anything that is left behind once you’ve washed your face. My routine is usually to scrub my face with a flannel and warm water using a foam or exfoliant, and then I saturate a cotton pad with my chosen toner and remove any impurities or dirt that may not have been washed away, before moisturising the hell out of my face.

Here’s a list of some of the ones that I found in my skincare box, that I’ve bought and forgotten about;

Tonique Douceur

Softening Hydrating Toner, Alcohol-Free

I find this toner to be extremely hydrating however, doesn’t seem to remove those smudged mascara marks under your eyes that you get just after you’ve washed your face, so I always find that I’m having to use this product alongside another toner etc. I like that this toner is alcohol-free, you can guarantee on it not leaving your skin needing extra help in the refreshing area.

Eau Roma Water

Toner Water

Super duper pure and organic, I sometimes buy rose water on its own to use as a toner, however this one is combined with lavender water as well, so it’s great for when you’re taking your make up off after a long day, to get you relaxed and ready for a peaceful sleep. The rose water calms any redness on your skin and the lavender hydrates and softens the skin. Perfect for refreshing and removing any left over make up.

Micellar Product Range Cleansing Water

Garnier isn’t my usual choice of skin care, although their micellar water is definitely one of the best in terms of high street products. This cleansing water captures and lifts any dirt from your face, there’s no rubbing needed for make up, just swipe gently over your skin and you can see the results on your cotton pad. Use in the morning to refresh or at night to remove make up to prep your moisturiser.

Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner

I’ve only really discovered Pixi in the last year or so, I came across this brand in Marks and Spencer’s. This tonic water cleansers and exfoliates with Glycolic Acid, Glycolic is perfect for hormonal acne, fortunately for me I don’t suffer from spots or blemishes often at all, but it’s always good to prevent them before it happens in my case. The clue is in the name, it makes your face bright and glowing.  Use AM and PM, or just when needed.
