SKIN CARE

I love everything about skin care

Our skin is the foundation of our outside image. Looking after it is not vanity, its common sense.

Over the last year I have become obsessed with anything skin care related, and this wasn’t done purposefully. It’s just become something that I love and I’ve only just realised this.

From face creams, eye cream, toners, moisturisers, face masks, face wash, exfoliants and even fake tan. Anything that we do to look after our skin….I want.

I could write forever and ever about all the products I love and desire.

I seem to change the lotions and potions that I use every day, I might mix things up on the face wash or toner, but I no matter what, I always do my routine!

I’ve picked one product from my collection for each step.

The face wash

x Garnier

Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash

I’m not a humongous fan of Garnier, and actually I think this is the first product I’ve bought from them in a very long time. However this is becoming a regular favourite of mine. I tend to keep this product in the bathroom with the bath instead of my en suite, and I use this while taking a show or bath. I love the fact that this can be used for eyes as well as lips. At first I was apprehensive just because I have always been prone to sensitive lips. But I can wash this over my face using just my hands and it lathers up brilliantly and not worry for a second about irritation.

Also for anyone who can’t or doesn’t like to spend a lot on cosmetics then this is perfect for you

The Cleanser

x Pixi

Double Cleanse

PIXI

I’ve just featured this in my March Favourites post, and it is exactly that…a favourite.

Not only is Pixi an up and coming brand but they are doing everything right, from product to the whole marketing and packaging propaganda. This is not just the only product from the range that we certainly need to have in our cupboard. But its a good place to start.

Oily cleanser on one side, and on the other a creamy cleanser.  Smooth in both products and rinse with a warm clean cloth to create a makeup free face ready to be toned. The ultimate PM cleanser. Also perfect for the summer holiday months as it removes sunscreen as well as makeup.

The toner

x L’Oreal

Fine Flowers Cleansing Toner

L’Oreal have launched a new range called Fine Flower, which is a combination of Rose and Jasmine Flower extracts. On this occasion they have created a new toner. And my personal opinion, it isn’t like one I’ve had before as the liquid consistency is thicker and almost pearl like. Just sweep over your face and neck and it does feel as though you’ve removed any dirt or impurities that you may have missed after washing and cleansing. Also can be moved in the morning to freshen you up for the day.

I’ve got to comment that this definitely leaves your face softer and smoother.

The Eye Cream

x Elizabeth Arden

Good Morning Eye Treatment

Nice little pick me up for the eyes when you really need it most – in the morning.

Brilliant for reducing redness and puffy eyes. Something I often need after a bad night sleep. It has a full matte finish which seems to be able to stand for a long day ahead. I put this on first before any moisturiser by patting gently and leave to soak for 30 seconds.

The Moisturiser (night)

x Guerlain

Midnight secret – Late Night Recovery Cream

This little gem is from a range called ‘My Supertips’. There are a few concoctions and they all come in little bottles – the one that I have used the most is the Midnight Secret cream. Perfect to smooth into your skin before bed time with the certainty that you’re going to awake up looking rested and revitalised.

With a touch of lavender for the perfect aroma for the perfect nights sleep.
